How to Track RSVPs for Your Event: A Simple Free Guide

Tracking RSVPs can be stressful when replies arrive by text, email, phone and mail. Here is a simple system.

1. Use one place for replies

Add an RSVP button to your invitation so every answer lands in the same guest list.

2. Ask for the details you need

Ask for yes, no or maybe, the number of people in each party and any notes such as allergies.

3. Set a reply-by date

Pick a date that leaves time for final orders. For weddings, three to four weeks before the event is common.

4. Follow up

Filter your guest list by Pending and Not opened. Send a friendly reminder to those guests.

Hi! Just checking in on our invitation. We would love to know if you can make it. Please reply by May 1.

5. Export your final list

Download the guest list as CSV for your caterer, venue or seating chart.
